Use and Care of

KALF KOZIES BLANKET

  • Use the snaps on the blanket to adjust the length of the front corners of the blanket so the calf will not kneel on the corner when it is getting up.
  • Adjust neck straps to fit the neck of the calf.
  • To protect the tail tie a short piece of twine to pull the tail under the blanket, tie the other end to the leg strap.
  • To get a cow to accept an orphan calf thoroughly rub inside and outside of a clean blanket on the dead calf. Put a blanket on the orphan calf. My clients tell me it works every time and beats skinning the dead calf!
  • Blankets must be washed every use. Cows identify their calves by smell.
  • Do up leg straps before washing.
  • Machine wash in warm water. Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry.
  • High dryer temperatures and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight breaks down water repellent capability.

At Kalf Kozies, we stand behind our products. Kalf Kozies are designed to last for several seasons with proper care and storage.

Unused Kalf Kozies may be returned for a full refund to the store where they were purchased. If your order was placed online, it may be returned directly to us. To be eligible for a return, the product must be unused. Items that have been used or washed will not be accepted.

Please note that any order cancelled after it has been placed will be subject to a 10% restocking fee, plus any applicable shipping charges.

If you receive a Kalf Kozie with a manufacturer defect, please contact us with a description of the issue and photos if possible. We will be happy to review it and provide either a replacement or a refund.
